  • Disaster Prevention/Recovery- This work deals with events such as floods, hurricanes and fires at U-Haul facilities. This individual will be assigned work on most every event to directly handle, coordinate and manage certain activities. Availability after hours (remotely using electronic tools) on short notice is a must as disaster prevention and recoveries arise that require immediate attention. Travel with short notice is required to work hands on, in the U-Haul Field approximately 10 times a year (typically 3-5 days per trip depending on severity).
  • Incidents/Accidents/Operations- This work deals with incidents and accidents that include but are not limited to: Equipment rentals, equipment theft, occurrences on U-Haul premises, third party injuries, claims and researching for potentially related operational considerations. Responsibilities include identifying and working with appropriate U-Haul Field Teams as well as other U-Haul Organization support teams who need to participate in assistance, resolution and operational enhancements. This individual will directly handle certain actions, and is required to document and close the loop on coordinated efforts. This work is assigned on a shared rotation basis, and requires a dedicated after hours’ rotation approximately one week out of four to six weeks.
